Byron Allen: Obama is ‘white president in black face’

obama_surpriseComedian and television producer Byron Allen isn’t laughing about President Obama right now.

Allen recently spoke with TMZ, where he made no bones about his feelings regarding Obama using the word “thugs” when discussing the Baltimore rioters.

“My understanding is you’ve got some of the same organizers now going back into these communities to try to clean up in the aftermath of a handful of protestors — a handful of criminals and thugs who tore up the place,” Obama said at a press conference during the riots.

As TMZ reported, that didn’t sit well with Allen:

Allen, a major TV producer who often programs for minority audiences, said he was outraged Obama referred to the Baltimore rioters as “thugs.”

Allen warned Obama, “remember who you are,” telling him, “It’s OK to be President and a black man.” And then Allen goes for the jugular, saying Obama is a “white President in black face.”

Now, we don’t think President Obama gets enough criticism for the things he does, but to insult his race because he is speaking the truth about some of the rioters is harsh. Who would have thought people would be criticizing Obama for NOT pandering to race?
