Doctors Concerned About Pay Under Obamacare

Many doctors are disturbed that they’ll be paid less – often a lot less – to care for the millions of patients who are projected to buy coverage through the health law’s new insurance marketplaces.

Some have complained to medical associations – including those in Texas, California, Georgia, Connecticut and New York – saying the discounted rates could lead to a two-tiered system in which fewer doctors participate, perhaps making it harder for consumers to get the care they need...

Obamacare Leaves Doctors On the Hook for Deadbeats

People who receive the federal subsidy to be part of Obamacare will be allowed to incur a three-month “grace period” if they can’t pay their premiums and then simply cancel their policies, stiffing the doctors and hospitals.

Their only repercussion is that they have to wait until the following year’s open enrollment if they want coverage on the exchange...

Pay teachers more. Shrink class sizes. Upgrade classroom materials. These are the standard positions taken by teachers’ unions and their political allies on the left. The belief is that more school spending, especially on across-the-board pay raises for teachers, is essential to improving education.These views are mistaken.
