Gallup Poll: Percentage of Uninsured Americans Has Surpassed 2008

Defenders of Obamacare will point to a new Gallup poll showing that the percentage of Americans without health insurance continues to fall -- to 15.9 percent so far in 2014, down from 17.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013.

But compare the most recent percentages with those posted by Gallup in 2008, when 14.8 percent of Americans lacked health insurance coverage.

Gallup Poll: 65% Unhappy With Government

Americans are more dissatisfied than ever with the U.S. system of government and how well it works, with almost two-thirds unhappy in a new poll.

Gallup: Obama’s Economic Approval Slides To 35%

Despite President Barack Obama's renewed focus on the nation's economy this summer, he scores worse with Americans on the economy than he did in June. His approval rating on the issue, now 35%, is down seven percentage points, and his ratings on taxes and the federal budget deficit are each down five points. During the same period, his overall approval rating is down three points.
