5 Things Obama Has Whined About in His Sad, Sad Life as President

On Friday, President Obama spent a good chunk of his public speech in Minneapolis complaining about how tough it is to be President Obama. “They don’t do anything except block me!” he complained of the Republican House of Representatives, as though it were the job of Congress to rubber stamp the Great Monarch’s imperial dictates. “And, and, and call me names!”… ... Sharyl Attkisson Describes Some CBS Bosses as ‘Personally Defensive’ of the Obama Administration

Former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has been making the media rounds, discussing her departure from the network she called home for more than two decades. She appeared on CNN's Reliable Sources over the weekend and shed additional light on a developing culture inside CBS News that she said she could no longer abide. Attkisson cited the network's "declining appetite" for original investigative reporting, prompting host Brian Stelter to note the irony that CBS News' slogan is "original reporting." But her concerns extended far beyond some producers' and executives' apparent disinterest in her brand of journalism. She said CBS' internal editorial inertia resists stories that could reflect poorly on the Obama administration, or the federal government in general. This full exchange is worth your time...

Which Network Will Win the Battle for Sharyl Attkisson?

Media and particularly cable news has never been as polarized as it is today. It’s also never been tilted more towards opinion and less toward objective reporting of hard news.

As a result, trust in media has fallen to an all-time low. Reporters in particular are looked upon as dishonest brokers in the business, with Gallup showing only 20 percent of those polled finding journalists honest and ethical (that’s 65 percent lower than nurses, 50 percent lower than doctors and engineers). Solid investigative reporters are simply in short supply and demand. Why? Because with opinion programming so much cheaper to produce and given the huge ratings that oftentimes go along with it (Fox’s The Five is a Top-3 program in the 25-54 demo, for example), why even bother too much with the more expensive, resource-draining hard stuff?

Which brings us to the prospects of Sharyl Attkissonformerly of CBS News as of last month. As you’ve likely heard by now, she recently quit the network due to a significant drop in air time, which she says was because the network was being submissive to the Obama Administration.

Sharyl Attkisson: CBS Would Pull Me Off Of Obama Scandals

One month ago. long-time investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson left CBS amid rumors that she had grown frustrated with the network stifling her investigations. Thursday night on Bill O' Reilly's Fox News program she confirmed those rumors."There is unprecedented, I believe, influence on the media, not just the news, but the images you see everywhere. By well-orchestrated and financed campaign of special interests, political interests and corporations. I think all of that comes into play."

After introducing his guest, O'Reilly asked Attkisson about her investigation into the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

The former CBS reporter asserted that she began to make inroads into the story but had to drop it:

California Couple Receives Pre-Filled ‘Democrat’ Voter Registration Card From State Obamacare Site

With the liberal media doing its best to promote ObamaCare and hide the numerous problems associated with the healthcare law, here’s another bad ObamaCare story that likely won’t receive the attention it deserves.

According to ABC News 10 in California, a California couple “received an envelope from the state's Obamacare website, Covered California. Now, they are perplexed as to how the voter registration card pre-marked Democrat ended in their mailbox.” The article continued by describing the problems Covered California has had with their voter registration program:

Unethical Media Helps Sweep Democrat Bribe-Taking Under the Rug

When the New Jersey bridge closure scandal broke in January, the big three news networks led the way in turning what was a local story into a national one. In the bridge scandal’s first 24 hours, the networks devoted 34 minutes and 28 seconds to covering it.

That was 17 times the amount of coverage that the networks had given to the IRS abuse scandal, across six months.

NBC’s Today Show Shocked Obama Not On List of Greatest Leaders

On Thursday's NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie touted an exclusive preview of Fortune magazine's list of the world's 50 greatest leaders and wondered about one name that was absent from the ranking: "Bill Clinton comes in at number five and makes the cover. There are a lot of other notable names here. Tell you what, though, there may be some talk about one leader who did not make the list, the leader of the free world, President Obama. Fortune tells us he was not overlooked, he just did not make the cut."...
