GOP Senators Question FBI Over Dinesh D’Souza Indictment

Four United States Senators have a written a letter to FBI director James Comey about the indictment of author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza. Senators Charles Grassley, ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, Jeff Sessions, Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee are the four senators, all Republicans, to have signed the letter.

The letter quotes Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz as saying, "I can't help but think that [D'Souza's] politics have something to do with it. ... It smacks of selective prosecution."...

Coulter Dazzles The Liberal Ladies of The View

Ann Coulter appeared on ABC’s The View and used the radically leftist daytime show as a pulpit from which to comment on the current state of the Republican Party. Discussing her most recent book, Never Trust a Liberal Over Three – Especially a Republican, the author held her own in typical Coulter fashion, responding handily to questions posed by the liberal ladies...

Hannity: “It May Be Time For A New Conservative Party In America”

I don't blame the media. I don't blame Harry Reid. I don't blame Obama. If every Republican would have stood by their promise like Ted Cruz, we wouldn't be in this position today. If they held together, we wouldn't have a problem today. You know, what is different here is, you know, every time the establishment wins, they want the tea party conservative base to go along with them. Now when the tea party stands up and fights for what they promise their voters, somehow they're evil, somehow what they did is wrong. When yet, all I see is them standing on the principles. Well, this is about different strategies...

Standing with Our Veterans is Crazy?

According to NBC News, the president was in the White House at the time the protestors arrived. Video from cameras on the White House lawn showed people carrying barricades. You know, everybody's asking what were Ted Cruz and Palin doing showing up over there? The real question is how in the name of Sam Hill does this happen in the United States? How in the world does the National Mall get shut down to World War II vets but opened to illegal aliens to have an amnesty rally? The big news is that American veterans sought to protest this and did take it to the White House. That is the news. Now they're being excoriated for being kooks and freaks, and so are Palin and Cruz...

Welcome to the ‘new anarchy’

Immediately after Texas Senator Ted Cruz finished his 21-hour mother of all speeches, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid killed the euphoria by responding with some blunt words for the freshman Senator as well as the Tea Party. “I do believe that what we have here with the so-called Tea Party is a new effort to strike government however they can, to hurt government,” Reid said. “Any day that government is hurt is a good day for them.

Washington Builds a Bugaboo

Several times a day, especially if he’s out travelin’ and talkin’ to folks, as he always is when the U.S. Senate isn’t in session, Ted Cruz will stand before an audience and reflect, seemingly for the first time, about the generational shift taking place in the Republican party.

“I call them the Children of Reagan,” he says. He means the rising group of Republican officeholders who came to political consciousness during President Reagan’s two terms. He rattles off their names: “young leaders” like Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, Nikki Haley, Mike Lee, Scott Walker .  .  . and then sometimes he’ll pause, letting you wonder if he’s leaving out any of the Children’s names. Sometimes a helpful fan in the audience will volunteer it, to general appreciation from the crowd...
