The Planned Parenthood shooter was not a Republican, a pro-lifer, or even a dude, apparently

Many on the left (including the media) have been quick to label Robert Lewis Dear, the man responsible for the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs, as a right-wing nut job sympathetic to the pro-life cause. However, as details emerge, it appears Dear had no right-wing leanings, and his choosing of a Planned Parenthood during his shooting rampage may have been mere coincidence. According to voting records in his home state, Dear even self-identified as female, an inconvenient truth for liberals looking to assign blame.

According to The Gateway Pundit, Dear is registered in Park County, Colorado as a woman. Since we aren’t allowed to question when someone “self-identifies” as a different gender or race from the obvious (thanks Caitlyn Jenner and Rachel Dolezal), we won’t speculate if his/her gender selection was a mistake. Dear also registered as “unaffiliated,” not as a Republican, as many liberals might have hoped.

The Gateway Pundit also reports that Dear had a long history of run-ins with the law and erratic behavior, all without any political leanings:

According to court records, Dear has an arrest record in both North and South Carolina. He has been convicted of several traffic offenses, but has been arrested several times on more serious charges.

His convictions include seat belt violations, driver’s license violations, operating a vehicle in an unsafe mechanical condition and driving a non-registered vehicle.

Dear was charged in Colleton, South Carolina, with two counts of cruelty to animals in 2002, but was found not guilty in a bench trial.

He was also charged in 2002 in Colleton with charges of “peeping Tom” and eavesdropping. Those charges were dismissed.

It may not really matter that Dear wasn’t targeting Planned Parenthood, if that in fact turns out to be the case. The talking points are already out there. Social media has taken sides and issued innuendo as truth. The media has already speculated and implied what they wished. At this point, the truth may not matter after all.
